Turns out that I spoke too soon! After last week’s MASSIVE voter turnout, this week was even BIGGER! With a final vote number coming in at just under 25,000, I think that would be one heck of a goal for next week! Now… If only I could get that kind of turnout listening to the podcast interview show each week!
With an open spot for the #1 song being available this week, Willie Nelson sweeps up the top position with “Graceland”! With such a large support base behind this song, it’s not impossible that week might have another three week run on our hands!
As last week’s #2 song climbed a spot to #1 this week, Brooks & Dunn’s “We’ll Burn That Bridge” moved up a position as well from #3 to the second slot!
John Berry makes his Throwback Top10 Countdown debut with “A Mind Of Her Own” coming in at #4. Along with John Berry, a number of other songs appear on the countdown for the first time. Confederate Railroad, Pam Tillis and Wynonna each land “new” 90’s classics on this week’s chart at #7, #9 and #10 respectively.
Tanya Tucker’s duet with Delbert McClinton holds on to it’s #6 spot from last week while both Dolly Parton and John Anderson advance closer to the top with “Money In The Bank” and “Romeo.”
After a long successful run on the poll and countdown, we say goodbye this week to Dwight Yoakam’s “Ain’t That Lonely Yet.” We are sure to see Dwight back on the polls in no time! With that being said, Tracy Byrd, Doug Supernaw and Junior Brown each make their POLL debuts this week. Which songs will make their mark?
Retired From This Week’s Poll:
- Dwight Yoakam – Ain’t That Lonely Yet
- Vince Gill – No Future In The Past

*Readers may vote for 3 different songs, EVERY HOUR, until the poll closes on Sunday night at 6PM ET. Results will be posted shortly after along with a new poll opening at 6AM ET on Monday morning.
